In fact, it is indicated, when reminded by Waternoose that there can't be any witness to their plan, that he was planning to betray Waternoose once the plan succeeds. Randall only cares about himself and winning, and doesn't care about anyone else, including Waternoose. He has no concept of forgiveness and compassion, as stated by Sulley. While Waternoose is Randall's boss, he is more compassionate and well-mannered than Randall and had more firm reasons for his actions as he was trying to save his company from bankruptcy and stop the energy crisis, while Randall was doing it purely for personal gain and enjoyment, and also for his hatred and grudge against Sullivan and Mike since college, showing he can't get over from a minor problem. He then tried to strangle Sulley to death by wrapping himself around his neck, and would have succeeded had Mike not accidentally hit Randall with his remaining snow cone. Randall was also shown to be murderous towards Sulley, as he once whacked him very hard with a scream canister during their fight in the secret compartment of the company while gloating that he had wanted to do that for a presumed long time beforehand. Judging by his intentions to capture children for their screams (and possibly never return them), he is probably willing to severely harm little children (or worse). He is also a cold, selfish, truculent, and argumentative jerk who doesn't care about anyone but himself. In Monsters, Inc., Randall is very ruthless, short-tempered, manipulative, calculating, heartless, and overall evil in nature. However, after Randall abandons Mike to join RΩR, forcing him to befriend Sulley in order to join Oozma Kappa, he slowly turns on him by taking part in Johnny's mean prank to humiliate Oozma Kappa by having stuffed animals and paint fall down on them, thus becoming his enemy. In Monsters University, Randall was originally a kind, timid, helpful, friendly, and hospitable teenage monster who would hang out with Mike. He sometimes wears his purple glasses, (which he later got rid of to improve his camouflage powers, but leading him to constantly squint to try watch better). In Monsters University, Randall is seen as a young and pimple-faced teenager. Randall is a reptilian monster who has a three-antennaed crest with pink tips on top of his head, violet scales, green eyes, four arms and legs, a sky blue tail, and has the ability to completely blend in with his surroundings, making him invisible (as well as being able to cling to walls). Wesley in Home on the Range, Dwight Diddlehopper in The Simpsons, Dorsal Dan in SpongeBob SquarePants, and Francis E. Pink in Reservoir Dogs, Gordon Pratt in Homicide: Life on the Street, Carl Showalter in Fargo, Tony Blundetto in The Sopranos, Garland Greene in Con Air, Nucky Thompson in Boardwalk Empire, Mr. He was voiced by Steve Buscemi, who also played Mr. Waternoose III to solve the city's current energy crisis, with Randall coming up with a torturous device to get as much screams as they need. Wishing to "revolutionize" the scaring industry in his search to gain fame and fortune along with becoming highly superior to Mike and Sulley in petty revenge over a minor incident in Monsters University, Randall secretly teams up with Henry J. Sullivan, whom he has met since their days at Monsters University. He is a gecko/chameleon-like monster from Monstropolis who works as an employee of Monsters, Inc., where he is the arch-rival of Mike Wazowski and James P. and a supporting antagonist in its 2013 prequel Monsters University. Randall "Randy" Boggs is the secondary antagonist of Pixar's 4th full-length animated feature film Monsters, Inc.
